I want to replace my old air conditioner. Should my replacement be the same size?
Depending on the age of your air conditioner it is not always guaranteed that your replacement should be the same kW capacity size. Check out our sizing calculator to confirm.
What type of air conditioner would you recommend for someone living in an apartment?
Due to space limitations we would usually recommend a single split system or a multi head system. Apartments tend to have smaller living spaces and limited outdoor space.
Do I need a Ducted System for my family home?
Depending on how many rooms you wish to heat or cool, and the size of your house, ducted air conditioners can be a more viable option over multiple split systems. Though if you do not have adequate roof space or underfloor space for the indoor unit and ducting, a ducted would not be an option for your home.
You will also need to consider you budget.

What is an inverter?
Most Air conditioning systems these days are inverter type. Inverter air conditioners use a variable frequency drive to control the speed of the compressor motor. When the cooling demand is met the compressor will slow down, in return reducing energy consumption and running costs.
Inverter air conditioners reach the desired room temperature faster and then constantly adjust to maintain perfect comfort. Inverter air conditioners are more economical to operate and quieter to run than fixed speed units.
What is a split system?
A ‘split system’ refers to the fact that there is an indoor and an outdoor component to the air conditioner. These are the most common system you will find in homes and business around Australia.
What is EER and COP?
EER/COP are the units that measure your air conditioner’s efficiency. Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) is used to measure the AC’s efficiency in cooling.
Whereas the Co-efficient of Performance (COP) is used for heating conditions.
AC units that have a higher EER/COP value are considered to be more energy efficient.
